Inc. Village of Bayville Opens "Green Market"
The Inc. Village of Bayville has opened a GREEN MARKET on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon. They are selling organic fruit and produce. They also have organic pies. The market is staffed with volunteers. Anyone interested in participating please contact Kate Naughton at 628-1464 or via e-mail at Kate831@optonline.net.
Local farmers are welcome to participate.

i went to the green market last saturday and i was very impressed. i regularly shop at whole foods and buy organic foods at other stores; i was pleasantly surprised at the great selection and the low prices. what a wonderful idea-- i hope our community supports this fantastic market. i can't wait to go again this weekend. please check it out! thanks to trustee kennedy for her help with this program.

Organic food is a ripe off!!!!Priced zuccs for the rest. and the organic are 49.50! reg 12.25!.You tell me how can I buy this! I would rather buy local farm grown then some labeled "organic" vegs from the back of a truck in a parking lot.Now if the village wants to help the "locals" let the Baymen and (if any of them are left)lobstermen sell there wares.The big problem I have with Organic farms is there are very few on the Island. You have to have a two hundred foot border around your farm.since nobody can give up that much real estate nobody does it

The green market has been terrific, not only are the price excellent, but there is always a nice selection! Organic fruits and vegetables may cost a bit more than conventional but the value of not consuming all those pesticides is priceless. Have the Baymen approached the Village about selling their catch?

We found your book to be really interesting and helpful. We would love to hear about your readers preventative recommendations. Bill, for example, is convinced he has cured the common cold by gargling with Listerine twice a day and wearing turtlenecks on chilly days. I believe acupuncture, organic foods and hiking help keep me in balance.
